I only recently bought my first new vehicle and really wanted to get it the best protection I could. Many coworkers recommended Ruddick's with glowing reviews and I can see why.

From the first call, Jake Ruddick was incredibly helpful. He took the time to explain the different options I could choose and how they offer different levels of protection. I learned a lot and we ended up going with Icon Rocklear to coat my 2024 Ford Bronco.
I had done previous research on Rocklear and seen mixed reviews. Jake laid it all out and helped me get better context for the product and their commitment to quality.

Before delivering my vehicle for coating, I discovered a pea sized lump under the paint on my vehicle. After getting it checked out by the dealership, I learned I'd need to get that panel repainted. I already had my appointment with Ruddick's scheduled and Jake was super accommodating. They were able to coat the entire vehicle excluding the affected panel and were willing to have me come back just to get that one panel done.

Once I got the panel repainted, Ruddick's reached back out to make to schedule the follow up. I think that shows just how great a business they got going. I had already paid in full and yet they were reaching out to make sure I got the full service. I think that really speaks to the quality on the cars they detail and their business overall!

Super satisfied overall. My Bronco looks stellar and Jake has been super helpful giving me tips on keeping it clean and what products to use. Their Silica Soap and Spray is fantastic! Highly recommend!

Why Choose Ruddick’s Detail in Merritt Island?

Merritt Island sits between the Indian River and the Banana River, so the air is humid and salty on both sides, the sun is strong most of the year and lovebug season arrives in spring and again in late summer. Window tint

We install SunTek window film, including SunTek Evolve ceramic tint, which SunTek rates at up to 94% infrared heat rejection. It keeps the cabin cooler, cuts glare off the rivers and blocks the UV that fades leather and dashboards. Ceramic film contains no metal, so phone and GPS signals are not affected. Paint protection film

Clear SunTek or PURE film covers the parts of a car that take the most damage: bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors. If you want a new look as well as protection, PURE color PPF changes the color while still guarding the paint. See paint protection film for coverage options.

Ceramic coating and paint correction

A Feynlab ceramic coating makes salt film, pollen and dried lovebugs much easier to wash off. Swirled or hazy paint gets paint correction first, so the coating seals in a clean, glossy finish.

Florida tint limits at a glance

Front side windows: let in at least 28% of light, no more than 25% reflective.
Rear side and back windows: at least 15% on cars and 6% on SUVs, vans and trucks, no more than 35% reflective.
Windshield: a transparent strip above the AS-1 line only.

About Merritt Island

Merritt Island is an unincorporated community in central Brevard County, set between the Indian River to the west and the Banana River to the east. SR 520 crosses it from Cocoa to Cocoa Beach, and Courtenay Parkway (SR 3) runs north toward Kennedy Space Center.
